Doggie Delight - Because one-on-one, personalized care is important to us, we've intentionally limited our accommodations to seven spacious suites for our "ilio" (or "dog" in Hawaiian) guests.

Suite Features  - From the soothing wall colors and in-house music to the bone-shaped welcome mat, full-sized fleece blanket for nighttime snuggling, and comforting nightlight, each 5'x7' private room is lovingly designed with your 'ohana member's peace, comfort, and relaxation in mind!    And unlike other boarding facilities that offer snacks for a fee, our guests'  pampering is complete with not one, but THREE FREE, 100% all-natural snacks (late-morning, afternoon, and evening), from Rachel Ray's complete line of "Nutrish" safe treats.*

*100% of the money from this great line of dog treats goes to help animal rescue groups.

Sleeping Features - While other boarding facilities offer standard-sized beds, our suites feature deluxe, oversized sleeper beds, providing the ultimate sleeping experience for all dogs - from puppies to adults to seniors with special needs.  Of course, if you'd like to bring your own bedding, you're more than welcome.  And unlike other facilities, there is no limit on how much "luggage" a guest can bring along for his/her stay (ie, beds, blankets, toys, etc.), because we want your dog to be at-ease and as comfortable as possible.

Daily Activities:  Your dog's overall well-being and positive mental attitude is our top priority, which is why all guests are given a minimum of four daily "one-on-one" walks AND playtimes without incurring any additional charges.  With scenary like the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains and walks on peaceful country roads and private trails, relaxation couldn't be easier.

And for all our guests, especially our more active guests, a run and romp in our neighborhood field is the perfect place to work out that extra doggie energy.  We guarantee you can't find this kind of attention at any other boarding facility for one, all-inclusive, low price!

Why is that important?  Because we believe that keeping your dog mentally stimulated, as well as giving lots of attention, including hugs, kisses, snuggles, love, and bellyrubs should not be considered "add-on" items.

With all this pampering and care, may find yourself wanting to book your own vacation here.   Sorry, no humans are allowed!

Separation Anxiety/Related Stressors - Sometimes in new surroundings, a dog's digestive tract can become affected from the stress of owner separation or the introduction of new food, and symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, or even mild colitis can occur.  To help prevent this and maintain the normal level of flora in your dog's stomach, we require owners to bring their own food from home

Does this guarantee that diarrhea or colitis will not occur during your pet's stay?  Unfortunately, no, but should any of these situations develop, we work with you and your vet to monitor the situation closely and quickly resolve it.  Most of the time, simply switching your dog to a plain chicken/rice diet*, offering probiotics*, and/or treating with very mild antibiotics, clears up the problem in several days.

Probiotics -  What are probiotics?  Probiotics are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut. They are also called "friendly bacteria" or "good bacteria."  Not only do they balance the level of healthy flora in your doggie's tummy, but they also help to build-up a system's immune system (just like yogurt does for people).  When you doggie is experiencing internal irregularities, probiotics are your dog's best friend.
