Doggie Delight - Because one-on-one, personalized care is important to us, we've intentionally limited our accommodations to seven spacious suites for our "ilio" (or "dog" in Hawaiian) guests.

Suite Features - From the specially-themed wall motifs and in-house music to the fun bone-shaped welcome mat, full-sized fleece blanket for nighttime snuggling, a comforting nightlight and in-suite phermone dispenser, each private room is lovingly designed with your 'ohana member's peace, comfort, and relaxation in mind! We even thought of our guests who are prone to bloat and now use raised food/water dishes. And unlike other boarding facilities that offer snacks for a fee, our guests' pampering is complete with not one, but THREE FREE, 100% all-natural snacks (late-morning, afternoon, and evening), including cookies from Mother Nature Gourmet Biscuits** or doggy-safe frozen "ice cream".

Sleeping Features - While other boarding facilities offer standard-sized beds, our suites feature deluxe, oversized sleeper beds, providing the ultimate sleeping experience for all dogs - from puppies to adults to seniors with special needs. Of course, if you'd like to bring your own bedding, you're more than welcome. And unlike other facilities, there is no limit on how much "luggage" a guest can bring along for his/her stay (ie, beds, blankets, toys, etc.), because our sole goal is for your dog to be at ease and as comfortable as possible.

Daily Activities: Your dog's overall well-being and positive mental attitude is our top priority, which is why all guests are given a minimum of four daily "one-on-one" walks and playtimes. With scenary like the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains and walks on peaceful country roads and private trails, relaxation couldn't be easier. Why is that important? Because we believe that keeping your dog mentally stimulated, as well as giving lots of attention, including hugs, kisses, snuggles, love, and bellyrubs should not be considered "add-on" items.

Separation Anxiety/Related Stressors - Sometimes in new surroundings, a doggy's digestive track can become affected from the stress of owner separation or the introduction of new food, and symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and even mild colitis can occur. To help prevent this, owners are encouraged to supply their own food for their doggy's meals.

If you would like for us to provide the meals, however, it's not a problem. We are pleased to serve 100%,all-natural Natura Pet Products*.

Probiotics - As discussed above, new environments or stressors, such as the introduction of a new food diet or separation anxiety may disrupt the natural cultures in your dog's internal system. When necessary, 'Ohana Pet Paradise uses Purina Vet Probiotic beef-flavored packets to help regulate your animal's digestive and bowel systems.

What are probiotics? Probiotics are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut. They are also called "friendly bacteria" or "good bacteria." Not only do they balance the level of healthy flora in your doggie's tummy, but they also help to build-up a system's immune system. When you doggie is experiencing internal irregularities, probiotics are your dog's best friend.
