Together, they have spent a lifetime caring for and rescuing a variety of animals, including their own menagerie of 2 dogs, 4 cats, 3 goats, and 17 alpacas (many of which are rescue animals with special health needs).

While many people view pets as "just animals," Pam and Charlie see them differently. Each and every animal is a gentle, loving creature sent straight from heaven above with its own unique personality and soul. They believe that is our responsibility as earthly caregivers to cherish, nurture, and love each and every one. It is this belief in the sacredness of all furry lives (even the cranky ones) that was the genesis of their pampered "retreat" for animals.

The 'Ohana Name - People always wonder how the 'ohana name was selected and what it means. 'Ohana is a Hawaiian word meaning "family." Years ago, after visiting and falling in love with the islands of Hawaii and the "aloha" spirit of friendship and caring that is so prevalent with its people, it seemed a natural to select that word as the driving force behind any endeavors having to do with animals.

And with that thought,'Ohana Pet Paradise was founded.
